WG3 Round Table Advances Comparative Research and Multi-Stakeholder Survey Development

On 17 September 2026, Working Group 3 of COST Action CA24167 – Disruptive Innovation and Exponential HRM: Crafting Next-Gen Employee Experience, Workplace, Job Market (HUMAN-IT) organised the online Round Table “From Country Reports to Collective Insights: Comparative Perspectives and Future Directions.”

The meeting brought together WG3 leaders, sub-leaders, and members to review progress on the national country reports and discuss the main comparative findings emerging across the participating countries.

The discussion highlighted a number of shared labour-market challenges, including demographic change, skills mismatches, uneven adoption of artificial intelligence and digital technologies, and the need for stronger alignment between education, training systems, and rapidly changing labour-market needs. At the same time, participants reflected on important national differences in institutional readiness, policy implementation, and the pace of digital transformation.

A central part of the meeting was dedicated to the development of the multi-stakeholder survey, which represents the next major phase of WG3 research. Members discussed the key survey dimensions, the balance between common comparative questions and stakeholder-specific elements, stakeholder identification and engagement, as well as ethical and GDPR-related requirements.

The group also reviewed the stakeholder mapping process across participating countries and agreed on key responsibilities and deadlines for the next phase of work. Further development and refinement of the survey questionnaire will continue during the upcoming WG3 meeting in Budapest in October 2026.

The Round Table marked an important step in moving from national-level evidence towards a comparative research framework capable of supporting future analysis, stakeholder engagement, and policy-oriented outputs across the HUMAN-IT network.
