WG2 – 3rd Plenary Meeting

What have we learned about exponential technologies and employee experience and how can we turn that knowledge into impact?

Last week, members of #WG2 – Exponential Organizations, Workplace and Employee Experience gathered online for their 3rd Plenary Meeting within HUMAN-IT – COST Action 24167. As the Action’s 1st Grant Period draws to a close, they reflected on months of collective work and discussed what comes next.

📚 From evidence to understanding: our preliminary bibliometric and systematic review findings highlight that technology’s effects on employee experience are often mixed or conditional. Organisational choices, work design and employees’ agency matter. The review also reveals significant gaps in attention to social well-being and inclusion.

💡 From understanding to practice: building on the ideas co-created at our Bucharest meeting, they discussed training and awareness initiatives to help managers and other stakeholders navigate technological change with employee well-being and inclusion in mind.

🤝 Looking ahead: our next steps include finalising the first deliverable, developing publications, advancing training initiatives and preparing future empirical research.

A heartfelt thank you to Alessandra Lazazzara, WG2 Leader, and Aizhan Tursunbayeva, PhD, GRP, WG2 Vice-Leader; to Margaret Heffernan and Nurcan Deniz, Task 1 Co-Leaders; to Dr Andri Georgiadou and Ilenia Bua, Task 2 Co-lLeaders; and to every member contributing their time, expertise and ideas.
