HUMAN-IT Working Group 1 Launches Year 1 Activities on Digital HRM, AI and HR Analytics

On 7 May 2026, Working Group 1 – Digital HRM, Artificial Intelligence and HR Analytics of COST Action CA24167 – HUMAN-IT successfully held its online plenary meeting, chaired by Prof. Hila Chalutz-Ben Gal and Prof. Gianluca Elia. The meeting brought together researchers and experts from across the Action to coordinate the implementation of Working Group 1 activities for the first Grant Period.

The meeting marked an important milestone in establishing the operational framework for Year 1, with discussions focused on strengthening collaboration, confirming governance arrangements, and initiating task-level implementation across the Working Group.

The main objectives of the meeting included:

  • Formalising the Working Group 1 task subgroups and confirming roles and responsibilities;
  • Reviewing the objectives, tasks, deliverables, and implementation timeline for Year 1;
  • Launching subgroup activities to ensure coordinated and timely delivery of planned outputs.

Participants also discussed the strategic contribution of Working Group 1 to the overall objectives of HUMAN-IT, validating the structure of Tasks 1–4 and aligning subgroup activities with the Action’s scientific work plan and expected deliverables. Particular emphasis was placed on promoting interdisciplinary collaboration, knowledge exchange, and effective coordination across participating institutions.

The plenary meeting established a strong foundation for Working Group 1’s contribution to advancing research on Artificial Intelligence, Digital Human Resource Management, HR Analytics, and the impact of emerging technologies on organisations and labour markets. It also reinforced HUMAN-IT’s commitment to fostering cross-country collaboration and producing high-quality scientific outcomes that support the future of work.
