On 24 April 2026, Working Group 3 – Social Transformation, Policy, and the New Job Market of COST Action CA24167 – HUMAN-IT successfully held its online plenary meeting, bringing together researchers and experts from participating countries to advance the Action’s research on the societal and policy implications of Artificial Intelligence and the future of work.
Chaired by Prof. Ana-Maria Bercu, the meeting focused on strengthening collaboration across the three Working Group 3 subgroups:
- Country Mapping and Labour Market Intelligence
- Survey, Data and Analytical Modelling
- Stakeholder Engagement and Community of Practice
Participants discussed the development of the Working Group’s analytical framework, the alignment of survey design and research methodologies, stakeholder mapping activities, and the implementation of shared collaboration tools to facilitate interdisciplinary and cross-country cooperation.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to coordinate upcoming research activities, define shared priorities, and reinforce collaboration among subgroup members. Through these discussions, Working Group 3 continues to contribute to the generation of evidence-based knowledge on the impact of Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies on labour markets, public policy, and social transformation across Europe.
The plenary meeting represents another important milestone in HUMAN-IT’s commitment to fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, supporting scientific excellence, and delivering high-quality research that informs policy and practice on the future of work.
