People Behind HUMAN-IT | Dr. Lidia de la Iglesia Aza

Dr. Lidia de la Iglesia Aza contributes to COST Action CA24167 – HUMAN-IT as Task Owner for Task 4 within Working Group 1 – Digital HRM, Artificial Intelligence and HR Analytics, supporting the Action’s work on the legal, ethical, and societal dimensions of Artificial Intelligence in Human Resource Management.

With more than 25 years of professional experience in employment law, she specialises in equality, non-discrimination, and labour rights. Holding a PhD in Law, Dr. de la Iglesia Aza combines legal practice with academic teaching at the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela, where her work explores the evolving relationship between employment law, technological innovation, and the future of work.

Within HUMAN-IT, she leads Task 4 in Working Group 1, contributing to dissemination activities that examine the transformative integration of Artificial Intelligence and advanced analytics into Human Resource Management. Her work focuses on promoting understanding of the legal, ethical, and organisational implications of AI-driven workforce planning, decision-making, and talent management, supporting responsible and human-centred approaches to digital transformation.
