Prof. Gianluca Elia serves as Vice Leader of Working Group 1 – Digital HRM, Artificial Intelligence and HR Analytics within COST Action CA24167 – HUMAN-IT, contributing to the Action’s research on digital transformation, innovation, and the future of Human Resource Management.
An Associate Professor in Management Engineering at the University of Salento, his teaching and research focus on Digital Transformation, Digital Innovation, Project Management, and Technology Entrepreneurship. With more than 170 scientific publications, international research experience at Peking University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and editorial roles in leading international journals, Prof. Elia brings internationally recognised expertise at the intersection of technology, management, and organisational innovation.
Within HUMAN-IT, Prof. Elia supports the coordination of Working Group 1 and contributes to the development of innovative research on digital transformation and next-generation Human Resource Management. His work promotes interdisciplinary collaboration and supports the design of evidence-based approaches that leverage emerging technologies to foster organisational innovation and enhance employee experience.
