The Annual General Meeting of COST Action CA24167 – HUMAN-IT was successfully held on 24–25 June 2026 at the University of Salento, Italy, bringing together members of the Action from across Europe for two days of scientific exchange, strategic planning, and collaborative discussions.
The meeting marked an important milestone in the implementation of HUMAN-IT, providing an opportunity to review the progress achieved during the first Grant Period, align priorities for the forthcoming activities, strengthen collaboration across the Working Groups, and define the next steps towards delivering the Action’s scientific objectives over its four-year duration.
The Action extends its sincere appreciation to Prof. Dr. Nevila Xhindi, Chair of COST Action CA24167 – HUMAN-IT, for her leadership in guiding the scientific and strategic development of the network. Special thanks are also addressed to Prof. Alessandro Margherita, Vice-Chair of the Action and local host, together with colleagues from the University of Salento, for the excellent organisation and support provided throughout the meeting.
The AGM also highlighted the valuable contributions of the Action’s Working Group Leaders—Prof. Hila Chalutz-Ben Gal (Working Group 1), Prof. Alessandra Lazazzara (Working Group 2), and Prof. Ana-Maria Bercu (Working Group 3)—whose leadership continues to support the successful implementation of the Action’s research agenda.
Throughout the meeting, participants engaged in discussions on the progress of the scientific work plan, collaborative research activities, networking opportunities, communication and dissemination initiatives, and future deliverables. The AGM further reinforced the Action’s commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration, scientific excellence, and the development of evidence-based research addressing the future of work, Artificial Intelligence, and exponential Human Resource Management.
The outcomes of the meeting provide a strong foundation for the next phase of implementation, supporting continued collaboration among researchers, practitioners, and policymakers across the HUMAN-IT network.
