COST Action CA24167 – HUMAN-IT was represented at the Roundtable Discussion held at the European Parliament in Brussels, organised within the framework of COST Action CA20123 – Intergovernmental Coordination from Local to European Governance (IGCOORD).
The event, titled “Policy Coordination under Administrative Simplification and Polycrisis,” brought together researchers, policymakers, and governance experts to discuss the challenges and opportunities of policy coordination in increasingly complex and rapidly evolving environments.
The discussions focused on several key themes, including:
- Policy coordination in the context of overlapping crises;
- Administrative and regulatory simplification;
- Bridging governance reforms with practical implementation mechanisms;
- Strengthening dialogue between research, policymaking, and institutional practice.
The roundtable also provided an opportunity to present recent scientific outputs, including the publication Horizontal Intergovernmental Coordination at Local and Regional Levels: Evidence from Europe and Beyond, highlighting the contribution of collaborative European research to evidence-informed policymaking.
Participation in this event reflects HUMAN-IT’s commitment to fostering interdisciplinary dialogue, strengthening collaboration across COST Actions, and promoting research that supports inclusive, resilient, and evidence-based approaches to the future of work, governance, and innovation.
