Prof. Ana-Maria Bercu serves as Leader of Working Group 3 – Social Transformation, Policy, and the New Job Market within COST Action CA24167 – HUMAN-IT, contributing to the Action’s research on the societal implications of digital transformation and the future of work.
A Full Professor at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași, her expertise lies in public administration, public sector management, and European governance. With more than two decades of academic experience and participation in over 25 European research projects, she has developed extensive expertise in public policy, European integration, institutional resilience, and international research collaboration. Her academic career has also been enriched through international experiences, including as a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Illinois Chicago and a postdoctoral researcher at Tel Aviv University.
Within HUMAN-IT, Prof. Bercu coordinates the scientific activities of Working Group 3, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration on social transformation, labour market evolution, and policy responses to technological change. She supports the development of high-quality research outputs, facilitates collaboration across partner institutions, and contributes to ensuring that the Action’s work generates evidence-based insights for policymakers, researchers, and practitioners.
