Prof. Alessandro Margherita contributes to the strategic leadership of COST Action CA24167 – HUMAN-IT as Vice-Chair, supporting the Action’s scientific vision and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration on the future of work, digital transformation, and human-centred innovation.
An Associate Professor at the Department of Engineering for Innovation (DEfI), University of Salento (Italy), and Research Partner at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (Brazil), he brings more than two decades of international experience in research, teaching, and consulting. His expertise spans Human Resource Management and analytics, digital innovation, technology entrepreneurship, crisis and emergency management, and technology venturing. With an extensive scientific portfolio and the coordination of numerous national and international research projects, his work contributes to advancing innovative and evidence-based approaches to organisational transformation.
Within HUMAN-IT, Prof. Margherita serves as Vice-Chair of the Action, represents Italy in the Management Committee, and actively contributes to Working Group 1 – Exponential Technologies and HR Analytics. His role includes supporting the Action’s governance, scientific coordination, and the development of conceptual frameworks that strengthen research and innovation on next-generation Human Resource Management.
